Pupil Premium is additional government funding for schools in England designed to improve educational outcomes and close the achievement gap for disadvantaged pupils. It supports children eligible for free school meals (FSM), those in care, or those with parents in the armed forces. Funding is used for targeted academic support, teaching quality, and non-academic strategies.
