Home Learning ( 13.07.20)


Hello Year 1, 

We are coming into our final few weeks of what has been a very strange year. I am sad that I won't get to finish the year having seen some of you but I look forward to seeing you all return in September going into year 2. 

This week our Learning is all about the story 'Don't Hog the Hedge' (Story attached under the Home Learning Heading) Enjoy and please remember to email me with any questions or work you have completed at home.

Hello Year 1, 

The children who are in school have been working really hard and are missing those of you who are at home. 

I have attached this weeks home learning grid under the usual heading for you to have a go at.

This week we are reading the snail and the whale and there is a great animation of this on BBC iplayer.

I hope you are all well and remember if you need anything I am still accessing the class email ( and am happy to print anything off for you that you may need.

I hope you are all keeping safe and well. We are missing those of you who aren't in school currently but don't want you  missing out on the learning that is taking place. So I have attached the home learning for this week in the usual place and this week is all about your pets/favourite animals.

Hello Year 1, 

This weeks new home learning is all about Lego. I have placed the learning under the 'Home Learning' tab as usual and you will find a new learning grid to use and all the resources you will need for the week. As always any problems please email me, please send me what you have been doing at home as I love to see your learning. Remember if you would like to write to us in school please do and we will respond to you.

Class information:

Library day is every Tuesday please remember to return your book.

Home learning is due in every Tuesday and you choose which task to complete.

Reading should be for ten minutes every night.

Keep Practising your phonic booklets.

AUTUMN 2- Posting and Places: We have received Postcards from all over the world.

Year 1 PE lessons are on a Friday morning. Please make sure your child has appropriate PE kit for the weather and a named water bottle to keep hydrated during physical activity.
